Exeros Named “Cool Vendor” by Leading Analyst Firm

Vendors Selected for the “Cool Vendor” Report are Innovative, Impactful and Intriguing

SANTA CLARA, March 20, 2006 – Exeros, an innovator in data mapping and automated data relationship discovery, today announced it has been included in the “Cool Vendors in Data Management and Integration, 2006" report by issued by Gartner, Inc.  The report, dated March 13, 2006, was authored by Ted Friedman, Mark A. Beyer, Andreas Bitterer, Bill Gassman, Massimo Pezzini and David Newman.

The Gartner report discusses issues in the data management and integration market.  In the report, Gartner Vice President David Newman states, “The process of data analysis and data discovery is a time-consuming, risky, unpredictable and error-prone activity.”

“Today’s competitive environment demands companies have a more accurate understanding of how data flows throughout the organization,” said Piyush Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Exeros.  “As a result, corporate IT departments are constantly engaged in an expensive, labor-intensive and painful data integration process every day. The insights in Gartner’s ‘Cool Vendors’ list as well as recent data integration research help the industry to better understand that automated data mapping is the next IT imperative.”

Guided by the years of experience Exeros executives have in solving data management and data integration problems, the company developed its Exeros DataMapper to map data and discover data relationships the same way data analysts do in the real world — by examining data values.  Exeros DataMapper software analyzes the actual data, not just the metadata, and identifies the “hidden” relationships between data residing in disparate databases and applications.  The Exeros approach delivers more comprehensive and accurate data mappings, providing an intuitive and familiar experience to the analysts. Exeros DataMapper is used by companies to speed the deployment of legacy data migration and consolidation, data validation, hand-code-to-ETL migration and master reference data projects, saving companies thousands of data analyst hours and millions of dollars..
