Exeros DataMapper becomes Exeros Discovery as it Continues to Lead the Market in Data Relationship Discovery Software

SANTA CLARA, Calif., August 7, 2007 – Exeros®, Inc., an innovator in automated data relationship discovery software, today announced the availability of Exeros Discovery™, formerly known as Exeros DataMapper, the latest version of its automated data relationship discovery solution.  Exeros Discovery automates the discovery of forgotten business rules and data lineage, hidden sensitive data, and unknown data inconsistencies.  This new version includes several enhancements that give business decision-makers a more flexible, comprehensive, and actionable look inside their data than ever before.

In customer deployments, Exeros found that the discovery of relationships was a crucial component of data governance projects of all kinds and that mapping was part of a larger process of gaining insight into the content and relation of information in large databases – leading directly to the name change from DataMapper to Exeros Discovery.

Key Feature Improvements
Exeros Discovery contains several new features designed to enable users to make the most of products robust capabilities:

Exeros XML and Common Warehouse Metamodel (CWM)

Integration with BOMM allows users to view data lineage and use the metadata discovered by Exeros with other Business Objects modules.  This seamless combination delivers on the Exeros-Business Objects partnership announced in February. 

Enhanced Discovery Algorithms
Exeros continues to improve its discovery algorithms.  This release includes discovery enhancements for:

1. Discovery of the rounding of decimals;
2. Discovery of values that are between two constants a<x<b; 
3. Progress bar that shows the user the amount of time remaining in a discovery task; and
4. Support for extraordinarily wide data tables, setting a new capabilities standard.
