Exeros Secures $12M in B-Round Financing

SANTA CLARA, September 5, 2006 – Exeros™, Inc., an innovator in data mapping and automated data relationship discovery software, announced today it has secured an additional $12 million in a Series B round of private equity financing.  This round of funding is led by AllianceBernstein Holding L.P. (NYSE: AB), with Exeros’ original investors Bay Partners and Globespan Capital.

“Exeros is extremely well positioned for success,” said Krishna Rangarajan, vice president, AllianceBernstein L.P.  “Exeros has an experienced management team, a large market opportunity with a product that solves a 40-year old problem, and is already in production at some of the largest companies in the world.”

“Large companies need to understand how data relates across the enterprise before they can ensure data consistency or improve security,” said Piyush Gupta, co-founder and CEO, Exeros.  “This is a problem regardless of industry, and one of growing importance.  Exeros addresses these serious issues by discovering the relationships between datasets.  Understanding where data is and the relationships between systems is the foundation for strong data governance initiatives.”

Data governance encompasses the people, processes and procedures to create a consistent enterprise view of data in order to improve security, enhance confidence in decision-making, increase data consistency and decrease the risk of regulatory fines.  Exeros customers use the company’s initial product, Exeros DataMapper™ to discover sensitive data and create an enterprise data map for varying corporate governance, security and privacy initiatives.

In addition to providing a foundation for data governance, DataMapper is a flexible data mapping tool that can be utilized any large data integration project including master data management, metadata repositories, legacy data migration projects etc.

About Exeros DataMapper
Exeros DataMapper discovers data relationships the same way data analysts do in the real world – by examining data values. However, while analysts typically use spreadsheets and highlighters to discover data relationships, DataMapper does it automatically in a fraction of the time.

DataMapper delivers comprehensive and accurate data mappings through an intuitive user interface that requires minimal training for data analysts. Exeros DataMapper is used by companies to lower the risk and speed the deployment of sensitive data flow discovery, master data management, hand-code-to-ETL migration and legacy data migration projects, saving companies thousands of data analyst hours and millions of dollars.

In addition to a significant increase in the percentage of transformations that are discovered automatically, DataMapper discovers the exceptions and finds the “hidden” inconsistencies in data across multiple systems and flags errors that ultimately cause significant business issues.

About Exeros
Exeros, headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif., was founded in 2002 by senior executives with more than 50 years combined experience in data management and data integration.  Funded by Bay Partners and Globespan Capital Partners, the company’s mission is to increase the efficiency and accuracy of data integration projects through automated data relationship discovery and data mapping.  Effective data mapping significantly reduces the time, risk and cost involved in corporate data integration and ensures higher data quality.
